Cool

Nicely animated, that was something worth watching. The music was pretty annoying though :P

Looking good so far

It looks like you've taken quite a lot of time to draw the characters, and might I say they're looking great. The animation is pretty smooth too. It's looking very good so far, but what you currently have done by itself isn't enough to stay on Newgrounds (or so I would think). It'll definately have to be longer and have more of a point to it (storyline, character backgrounds, etc.). Keep up the good work.

Eh... boring

I figured I'd see what all the hype was about, but was disappointed after watching this. You guys can draw pretty good, but as far as I can tell, tweening a bunch of drawings doesn't make for a good movie. A good movie (in my opinion anyways) has things like a storyline, characters, etc. One could argue that the characters were the drawings shown, and the storyline was the whole 'food chain' thing, but the character's aren't consistent and in such a case the storyline is weak.

In conclusion, I find this to be overrated... perhaps due to Newgrounds nationalists. It's not like every movie has to follow the same template and clone the majority or anything, but it shouldn't stray so far as this.

I don't think you get the point...

Brilliant

Quite brilliant, but I must disagree with your and a lot of other peoples' thoughts about sprite movies. Many people do make generic shit movies, which you made fun of (and you did a very good job on that). But consider this: when I make sprite movies, I get sprite sheets, so I have to put the sprites in individual images, make the background transparent, and upload them to Flash before I can use them at all. That doesn't take an incredible amount of effort, but it sure is tedious and it takes a lot of time.
So let's go beyond that part... It still takes effort to come up with jokes, storyline, and whatever else. Sprite movies are good for people who can't (or don't feel like) actually drawing out the images. It gives the less artistic people a chance at making a decent movie. Many people do all that poorly of course (as you demonstrated); Mario vs. Sonic, Naruto vs. Sasuke, and whatever else DBZ style Flash movies. That gets annoying fast as it is very unoriginal. But you have to remember the good, original sprite movies like 8-bit D&D.

And finally, consider that some people actually create their own sprites. Lots of people modify the sprites so they can use the character in positions they had never been seen before in. Furthermore, I'm creating an RPG in Flash and I actually have created all of my sprites from scratch! They aren't modifications of other sprites, I didn't use other sprites for reference, they're all 100% original.

In conclusion, I don't think it's fair to brand ALL sprite movies/games unoriginal. There are some exceptions.

Once again, great movie.

Blordow responds:

yah i didnt mean every single sprite movie sucks. just the majority of them these days are the same, the ones i parodied in the movie are the ones i am mainly talking about.

Almost...

It started out looking decent, but still pretty stupid in how the evolving took place. Evolution is not just a matter of "Poof! We have legs!", it's something that happens gradually. Then it looks like you got lazy, or perhaps the beginning of the movie was to deceive people, you tossed in some cheap animated racism. The racism didn't make the movie bad per se, but the fact that it was irrelevant and seemingly a cheap cry for attention did.

Ushnor responds:

I'll have you know I have a phd in christian science and yes the legs DID just poof on you kike

Not exactly the greatest, but they were unfinished

On the second level of Circle Boy I decided to go to the right instead of going all the way around... then the game glitched.
After playing through a bit, it was very glitchy, but an entertaining game.

Bomber109 responds:

Yeah, it is old, but it is addictive. I gave Skutieos the swf and he played Circle Boy for a while, and loved it.

Why?

To be honest, I very rarely watch these sorts of things.
Collaborations involving a ridiculous amount of users, usually of very low quality, and people wonder why it wasn't blammed. Kitty Krew, those Uzi whatevers, you guys, and many others.
This was no exception; I didn't watch it. I've been seeing these things showing up in the portal like crazy, and I have no doubts that this is another one of those crappy entries.
In the past I've asked the retarded Kitty Krew why they do this, and they gave me a stupid answer, which was the best I could expect I suppose. But you guys are a different group, so I'll give asking you guys a shot.

Why do you submit these kinds of things? You seem to submit these things as collaborations seemingly so you can submit several of these movies per day, and also so you each have a long list of submissions on Newgrounds. So you have a long list of submissions, which are mostly pointless and have low scores. Now you can submit just about anything and people will think you're a "successful user" rather than a newb and so you're movies, no matter how crappy, will have less chance of being blammed or they'll think it's pointless to even try blamming and take the protection point, thus giving you higher scores on your crap.
But is there really a point to that? Do you guys compete for "worst Flash artist"? Most submissions? Just spamming the portal? What is the motive?

Spinister responds:

Well personally I'm aiming for a spot in the top uploaders list. Also, whenever I actually TRY to make something decent it gets a low score anyways, so I'm not really motivated to even try. Seeing garbage like Phoenix Wrong get scores of 4.2+ while Kol-Belov's "Russian Mafia on Mars" struggled to stay above 3.8 doesn't help much either.

Crazy...

I can't believe something like this got an award...

It was a pretty good sprite fight, animation-wise, but it was way out of character and didn't seem to have any storyline. Sasuke, Sakura, and Naruto are fighting for no apparent reason? Or are they training or something? An explanation would have been nice. I have doubts that your first 'Naruto vs Sasuke' had any storyline either, and after watching this one, I don't think I could stand watching another like it.

I like both Naruto and sprites, but I just don't think this was all that good. And just so you know, it's "Jutsu", not "Jutso", as you incorrectly spelled it. This was probably only rated the way it was because so many people love Naruto, but those people are probably just the posers who watched the first 30 episodes in English and think Sasuke is the best character ever.

Very good

This was very good and funny, but the voices were a bit quiet (which doesn't really matter since I can turn up my volume). The characters talked pretty fast, so some optional subtitles would have been nice. But uh... yeah... Very good stuff. Keep up the good work.

Pretty cool

Pretty cool, but you should definately make it longer. Nice job on that first-person stuff, and the stick fighting was good as well.

I have webcomics on my website.
