It's hard to tell if you're serious

Not very entertaining, that space part is too noisy and takes too long, and there's hardly any animation when it gets to the furry things. It's like things are just getting started when it cuts out.

Kinda cheap

Some of the drawings and animation looked alright, others looked kinda cheap... or very cheap when you just used text with no images, but I guess that's bound to happen with trailers.
You can find voice actors at the Voice Acting Club if you need voices in the future or if you ever wanted to add a voiced narration here.

It seems you got the size of the movie wrong... make sure the info on Newgrounds matches the specs of the original. If you made the stage size in your movie 400x300, for example, then you wouldn't leave it as the default 550x400 on Newgrounds - you have to tell it what the dimensions of your movie are.

Not great

It would be a frightening enough day when there are only three continents in the world and no ice or clouds. I liked the Majora's Mask reference. I thought it would just somehow crash into the alien from the lack of Earth's gravity.

Needs to be more interesting

I listen to some UVERworld, and I think this is one of their better songs. The song is pretty much the only good part about this video... If you took the song out, you'd be left with nothing worth seeing here.
Your glows and such were alright, but these things would work better as something in the background rather than what makes up the entire video. Try drawing some pictures and/or doing some actual animation in future music videos.

Mhmm...

I like the idea behind it, but it is rather poorly made/not too entertaining. Not that I'd recommend doing a better job since there really are way too many of these... I'm not sure what to say in this situation.

The idea behind it was to make fun of how many of these there are. the graphics are bad, als oto make fun of the newbs who make these, well atleast you didnt blam it ^^

Lazy art and such

I was somehow expecting better since you made Hell for Bread, but I laughed a little, anyways. I think it's cool that you would make something like this out of boredom... I'm usually very unmotivated when I'm bored and don't do anything remotely productive.

tcoffin responds:

lol, i'm sorry man, i hope you don't think less of me. :P

but if it makes you feel better i'm working on Johnny Salem Episode 3 as we speak. That should be better than this piece of crap. :D

You've got good skills

What I really liked:
-That you called him Glenn instead of Frog.
-The X Strike.
-When Glenn stepped on that robot's head.
-The Delta Storm.

What I didn't like:
-You made Lucca look very manly, especially in that front view in the Epoch.
-I know Chrono Trigger's official art is DBZ style, but I still don't like the DBZ look... particularly how large you made some of their eyes.
-You made the Epoch look a bit weird compared to what I'm used to... I think it should be more round.
-I would've liked to see a sword fight with Slash instead of him just shooting energy beams.
-Making Crono look SSJ when he used lightning techniques... You could sorta get away with it the way you used it, but it was just an annoying DBZ reference to me, something that I've seen way too many times.

You put quite nice detail into Glenn. Many of the drawings looked very unpolished/sloppy, though. As for the voice acting, it is a bit of an issue to imagine what kind of voice someone like Glenn would have... but then you have to step back and look at what you did here - you've shown us Chrono Trigger in a whole different way. If you're gonna add all these DBZ elements and turn comic relief villains into such badasses, why not go ahead and give them voices?

Also, that really sucks about the corruption. That also happened to me when I was making a Chrono Trigger movie, though mine was nowhere near as elaborate or good as yours - just a little music video for a song called "Silbird" by Hyadain2525 on YouTube. I recommend looking that up for finding my incomplete version at my site's "Miscellaneous" section. The song's in Japanese, but Hyadain gave each character a voice - it might help inspire you or give you an idea of how voices could sound, I dunno.

I thought I was the only one that corruption happened to, but it apparently also happened to a user called tcoffin. I'm wondering what's the reason for this... Are you using a tablet and/or Vista? Those are the two changes I've made since the corruption problem started... By the way, I recommend making frequent backups of your stuff. My first corruption was December 2009, and the problem's continued to destroy many of my files. I usually make a backup every hour or so and keep around 5 backups until I replace them with newer backups.

Anyhow, it was nice to see a Chrono Trigger movie that wasn't made with sprites, especially with this much effort. Oh, and for the subs, you could open the Filters panel, click on the text, make the text white, add a black "glow", and set the strength to 300%. That way, your subs'll be readable on any background.

Pretty cool

The fight scene was pretty intense and stuff, but I wasn't too interested in the constant energy beams. You did a great job with the beams, rocks flying about, and the dust when they were grinding along the dirt, but some of your dust clouds looked pretty cheap. I think those "action line" things where you have all the lines come from the edges of the screen towards the center also looked pretty bad. I think you should have them reach all the way to the edges of the screen, maybe go with black lines instead of white, add more lines, and make sure the center point doesn't move. To me, they just looked messy instead of adding intensity.
I really disliked the DBZ style in their faces and such. I guess that's just personal preference, but I've gotten pretty sick of the DBZ art style. I also don't like the new Pokemon. I watched the show, like, 10 years ago, but thought it was getting pretty lame with the introduction of the second opening theme, and I didn't buy any of the games after Blue/Red/Yellow.

Anyhow, it was pretty well done, especially as just your third animation. Could use a little polishing in the effects I mentioned. Wasn't really my cup of tea.

Boring

This movie was

really boring to watch.

2 criticisms later

There was little to no animation

And the voices were shit.

If you're gonna spend no time animating, you could have at least done better drawings. The jokes didn't fly well with the emotionless computer voices and the so-called "animation", plus there was a complete absence of wit. I hope you get a poor grade for this spam crew level thing.

Simply great

These are so fun to watch. They don't need words, they don't need violence, they don't need plots (though it makes it enjoyable in another way, like in this installment) - it's simply enough to show us the daily life of the good ol' Blue Rabbit. I'm quite glad the name "Flash Bros." stuck with me from watching Random Battles years ago and that I decided to see what else the Flash Bros. had made.

I have webcomics on my website.
